Document and organize components
Doors, drawer fronts, hinges, pulls, and locations should be labeled so components return to the correct openings. The scope should clarify whether interiors, shelves, exposed ends, toe kicks, and hardware are included.
Remove contamination before abrasion
Kitchen residue and cleaners can interfere with adhesion. Cleaning and degreasing should occur before sanding so contamination is not spread across the surface.
Create a sound foundation
